About the USCMAS:

The USCMAS is the only standardized Martial Arts governing body in the
United States. In many other countries Martial Arts Instruction and schools are registered and overseen by the government. In the United States there is no such body or department and in the past years anyone with a Black Belt, bought or earned, could open a school and teach. This is still the case however USCMAS members believe in providing only the highest standards of Martial Arts Instruction and there for our members are equal to and maintain certification in the Martial Arts Industry the same as any other professional field requiring a License or Degree.

National Registry

The USCMAS National Registry redefines the level of standards used in Martial Arts today. Using a 4 point evaluation process we completely review all applications before the issue of any Rank Certification or Registry Listing. Here you will not fine a Judo Master ranking a Tae Kwon Do Master this simply will not happen. All board members and staff act from an official position to review, evaluate & determine if the application meets the standards of curriculum, knowledge and practical ability. To find out more about the application process please visit our National Registry page.

Instructor Certification

There are many "groups" out there that have a form of instructor certification or even claim to have degree programs in Martial Arts. Most of these programs are based in business / advertising or liberal arts / business management. While these may be degrees or certifications neither of them does anything to meet the standards needed to be a true Professional Martial Arts Instructor. Here at the USCMAS we have the highest standards in the Martial Arts industry when it comes to teaching, be it our children or adult students. We believe that a Martial Arts Instructor must understand not only their system of techniques but also the human body, knowledge of history and facts, theory of physics, principals of philosophy, basic personal training & groups fitness programs and many more areas along with a proven track record of teaching all ages. A good instructor doesn't need an advertising class to find students, the students will find them. To find out more about our Instructor Certification programs please visit the Instructor Certification page.

School Registry

This is the highest level (Standard) that any Martial Arts school can earn. Here at the USCMAS we pride our members on being the best and brightest in the industry. You can't simply pay a fee and be listed in our school registry. A school listed with us has proven not only to pass the personal instructor membership evaluation but has all the instructors on their staff Certified and all their ranks are fully evaluated and found to be of the highest standards. Along with the instructors of a member school being certified and registered all their students are as well. This is the same as a University or College holding accreditation or a license to operate. The USCMAS stands behind all of its member schools in all aspects of Martial Arts Training. To find out more about the required steps or application process please visit our school registry page.
